ANZAC Biscuits

ANZAC Biscuits
      Ingredients
  • Sugar
  • Rolled oats
  • All-purpose flour
  • Desiccated Coconut
  • Salted butter
  • Golden Syrup
  • Bicarbonate soda
  • Hot water

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees celsius. Mix together 1 cup of sugar, rolled oats, desiccated coconut and all-purpose flour.

  1. Now take a saucepan and melt 115 g of salted butter and 2 tbsp of golden syrup.

  1. While the butter is melting put 1 tsp of bicarbonate soda and 2 tbsp of hot water. The water should start to fizz.

  1. Next, pour in the bicarbonate soda mixture into the butter. The mixture should start to turn into a brothy white mixture.

  1. Now pour the mixture into the dry ingredients and mix the ingredients until it turns to dough. Now roll dough into a ball about the size of a golf ball.

  1. Now place the ball on a cookie sheet and press the ball lightly. Remember to spread the dough because your biscuits will spread out while baking. Bake the biscuits 10-12 minutes and biscuits are good to eat when their golden brown.
